Banner Baywood Medical Center opened in 1984 in Mesa, Ariz. and provides complete acute care services in a 342-bed hospital. The hospital serves the growing East Valley communities of Mesa, Gilbert, Apache Junction, Queen Creek, Fountain Hills and areas of northeastern Pinal County. Banner Baywood Medical Center also offers state-of-the-art technology, including Banner iCare™, an extra layer of monitoring in intensive-care units. The hospital hasrobotic surgery available, and has electronic medical records as well as a computerized system designed to reduce complications during labor and delivery.  Dedicated to joint replacement procedures, the orthopedic unit at Banner Baywood Medical Center is one of the nation’s premier orthopedic programs. The unit's commitment to excellent patient care has earned it repeated recognition as having one of the Top 100 Orthopaedic Programs in the U.S. by The Health Network and HCIA, Inc. The John J. Rhodes Rehabilitation Center helps patients with conditions such as amputations, multiple sclerosis, stroke and other illnesses and/or injuries enhance their quality of life. Our nationally recognized Primary Stroke Center offers timely response and intervention for acute stroke patients. Also located on the campus, Banner Heart Hospital provides specialized cardiology services to the residents of the East Valley including robotic surgery.

Scottsdale Shea Medical Center has 433 beds, women's services, a dedicated pediatric emergency department, pediatric ICU, and a Level III neonatal ICU. The hospital also is known as a bariatric surgery center of excellence, its total joint replacement center, and cardiology and oncology services.

The Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center, accredited by the Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons, is on the Shea campus and houses the HonorHealth Research Institute.

Scottsdale Shea Medical Center is a certified Chest Pain Center and Heart Attack Center. The facility has earned Magnet designation, the highest national designation for excellence in nursing care.

Located north of Loop 101 and Scottsdale Road, Scottsdale Thompson Peak Medical Center has 92 beds and offers inpatient and outpatient surgical programs. They include minimally invasive general surgery; and vascular, urologic, gynecologic, GYN/oncologic, orthopedic and spinal surgery. The hospital also provides a dedicated intensive care unit and support services.

The facility has earned Magnet designation, the highest national designation for excellence in nursing care. Additionally, the facility was awarded the Top Hospital designation by the Leapfrog Group in 2015.
